Lucinda White loves the uniqueness of each student. Her greatest satisfaction is seeing them stand taller and smile bigger as they gain confidence in their abilities.

Lucinda has over 25 years of experience as a teacher and educational leader and holds MN teaching licenses in  both Reading K-12 and Special Education  K-12.  After getting her feet wet teaching Early Childhood, English to Speakers of Other Languages, and Special Education, it was clear that the common denominator across these  fields  was literacy.  Following that interest, she earned her Master of Education in Reading from Boston College.  She has taught in both public and private schools, with students from kindergarten through adult.  In addition to her work with students, Lucinda  coaches fellow educators, leads professional development workshops in the Science of Reading, and consults with schools to improve literacy instruction.  Read Lucinda's resume here.

Carolyn Roegner,

 M. Ed.

Instructor

Wilson Reading Certified Dyslexia Practitioner

The Reading League, Member

Grade K-6 teacher

Carolyn Roegner finds great joy in seeing the smiles on the faces of children who learn to "crack the code."

Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University. She was an elementary school teacher for 13 years before moving overseas with her family. It was at that time that she discovered her 1st grade son was dyslexic. Surprised by her lack of knowledge in the subject, Carolyn began to research how she could best help her son. When she returned to the States she became certified in the Wilson Reading System. Carolyn is passionate about learning about the Science of Reading and applying her knowledge to help struggling readers.

Christine Dettmann,

Wilson Reading Certified Dyslexia Practitioner

Christine Dettmann strives to make her time with students the highlight of their day, and she loves when her students think it is “cool” to work with her. Helping young students improve their confidence and love of reading has become her passion.

Christine is a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner with ten years of experience in education. After receiving her B.A. in French at the University of Iowa, she spent time in the corporate world until her kids came along. While working at her daughter’s school, the principal recognized her dedication, creativity and boundless energy, and asked her to work with Minnesota Reading Corps. Christine was hooked and so were her students!
